Where Artisanry Meets Creativity

Founded by Dodi Mohammad, the Certificate in Shoe Making Artisanry trains the next generation of independent shoe artisans. Certified by the City & Guilds of London Institute, the programme combines technical mastery, entrepreneurial capability, and creative identity formation.

Our graduates are not employees. They are artisans building their own labels. Each pair they craft is made-to-order: the client selects materials, colours, and finishes, and the artisan builds to those specifications.

Our Story

ABOUT THE COURSE

Founded by Dodi Mohammad, the Certificate in Shoe Making Artisanry trains the next generation of independent shoe artisans. Certified by the City & Guilds of London Institute, the programme combines technical mastery, entrepreneurial capability, and creative identity formation.

THE PRACTICE -- MADE TO ORDER EXPLAINED

Every pair begins with a conversation. There is no stock, no shelf; only a considered exchange between artisan and client, where ideas are shaped, refined, and brought to life through skilled hands. What emerges is not simply a product, but a reflection of intent, identity, and craft.

OUR ARTISANS

Our students rave about the quality of our shoemaking course. Here’s what they have to say about their experience.

Aiman Hakim, Footwear Designer (Kuala Lumpur)

"The craftsmanship is exceptional. You can feel the attention to detail in every stitch, and the comfort is on another level. It’s rare to find shoes that balance design and wearability this well."

Nurul Izzati, Independent Fashion Designer (Penang)

"What impressed me most is the consistency in quality. Each pair feels thoughtfully made, not mass-produced. It’s clear there’s real passion behind the brand."

Daniel Tan Wei Jian, Leather Goods Designer (Johor Bahru)

"I’m very particular about materials and finishing, and these shoes exceeded my expectations. They elevate even the simplest outfit while still being incredibly comfortable for long days."

HOW TO COMMISSION

ABOUT THE RESEARCH

Dodi Mohammed’s research positions shoe artisanry as a serious educational discipline; one that unites technical skill, creative identity, and entrepreneurial thinking. Through a programme certified by the City & Guilds of London Institute, this work challenges conventional academic boundaries, demonstrating that craft is not secondary, but a rigorous and meaningful field of study.
